Performance: Piano Minor

The minor consists of a minimum of 12 credits, a private study committee examination requirement, and a performance requirement.
Note: No credit with a grade lower than D may be counted toward the requirements of the minor.

Summary of Requirements
Course Requirements Non-Course Requirements Declaring the Minor
- The minor is open to all students earning a Bachelor of Music degree.
- The student must be recommended by their private study teacher.
- The student must be approved by the piano department, after at least two semesters of secondary study.

First Minor Committee Examination
- Administered after two semesters of secondary private study.
- Consists of eight minutes of repertoire performed for the first-year committee.
Second Minor Committee Examination
- Administered after four semesters of secondary private study.
- Consists of 12 minutes of repertoire performed for the entire faculty.
